P.S. The Gospel Message is truly as simple as what you just viewed. If you feel you need to dig into the theology deeper (which you do not need to do to receive His free gift of salvation) here is more detail:
The fact that you are asking this question, or seeking an answer to it, is very good! My name is David Nichols, and my wife is Sherry. Maybe we can help you with your question...
God wants to have a relationship with you!
That’s right, even with all seven billion other humans standing there, this God knows you by name! We know this is true because of God’s Word, the Bible. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says,
”I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans of good and not of harm, to give you a future and a hope.”
That sounds like the God who loves us, and that’s what John 3:16 tells us;
“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes on Him might not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Here is what you must do to begin a relationship with the One True Living God:
Acknowledge that you are a sinner and that you cannot save yourself. Romans 3:23 tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Recognize that salvation comes from Jesus Christ, the perfect revelation of God to humankind. Romans 5:8 says, “but God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Understand that your sin will lead to spiritual death, which is separation from God. Romans 6:23 tells us, “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Pray to God, calling on Him to forgive you of all your sins, in name of Jesus. Romans 8:1 says, “there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Believe that Jesus died on the Cross for you, that He was buried, and on the third day, He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death. Romans 10:9 says, ”that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”
